MiniMax M3.1 Flash: Features, Coding Tests and Online Playground
MiniMax M3.1 Flash is MiniMax’s Flash-tier model released on 19 October 2026. MiniMax says Space Bunny, the earlier anonymous model, was an early version of it. This page separates what MiniMax and OpenRouter publish from what the Spacebunny playground actually does.

What MiniMax says it is good at
MiniMax’s research post describes gains on agent work, coding, computer use, and cybersecurity, and says everyday output speed can pass 200 tokens per second. Those are vendor claims. Spacebunny has not re-run those exams. Read the labeled split in the MiniMax M3.1 Flash coding tests.
Limits that matter on this site
- The playground does not expose the full 1,000,000-token window. One request stops near 100k tokens per request, and the completion cap is 2,048 tokens.
- OpenRouter’s own page says the free route ends 22 October 2026 at 12:00 UTC, after which minimax/minimax-m3.1-flash is the id to use at MiniMax list price. That paid id was absent from the public models list on 2026-10-21. The chat route retries it only if the free id fails.
- Signup includes 200 Spacebunny credits (1 credit = 100 tokens). That meter is ours. It is not MiniMax’s invoice.
- There is no public Spacebunny API for this model. Official access is MiniMax’s API.
Try the playground
Signed-in chat on this site sends messages to minimax/minimax-m3.1-flash:free through our backend. The OpenRouter key stays on the server. The playground page itself is not indexed. Start with 200 credits, or read Spacebunny credit pricing.
Questions
Is the Spacebunny playground running MiniMax M3.1 Flash?
The production chat route calls OpenRouter model id minimax/minimax-m3.1-flash:free. On 21 October 2026 that id was in the public OpenRouter catalog with a 1,000,000 token context and a $0 list price. The paid id minimax/minimax-m3.1-flash was not in that catalog the same day. OpenRouter says the free id is retired after 22 October 2026 at 12:00 UTC.
Is this an official MiniMax demo?
No. spacebunny.me is an independent playground. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by MiniMax or OpenRouter. Chat requires a Spacebunny account. We do not offer a public pass-through of the MiniMax API.
Did Spacebunny reproduce MiniMax’s benchmark scores?
No. Scores such as DeepSWE v1.1 73.7% are quoted from MiniMax’s 19 October 2026 research post and are labeled vendor-reported. This site has not published an independent score for those exams.
